In SMAW welding, there are several types of electrodes used, one of which is the E6013 electrode, where each electrode has a different chemical composition and several adhesive forms. In the purpose of this study I as the author wanted to find out how the effect of variations of the E6013 electrode and the shape of the seam on SMAW welding on tensile strength. In this study, the material used for testing is ST 37 steel. While the electrode used is E6013 type with 3 variations, namely RB-26, NK-68, and RD-460. The welding current used is 85 Ampere based on each electrode recommendation. The shape of the seam used is I (open), K, and X. In this study, the data processing method used was a factorial design with data from the tensile test results. In this study, various tensile test results were obtained for ST-37 steel joints using variations of the E6013 electrode and the shape of the seam. Then the results of the tensile test based on hypothesis testing with error rates (?) of 1%, 5% and 10%, it was concluded that the variation of the E6013 electrode, the shape of the seam and the interaction between the variation of the E6013 electrode and the shape of the seam had no effect on the tensile strength of the steel joint. ST-37. Although the calculation results obtained different data but statistically the same.} }
