Dosen Pembimbing 2 : Dr. Ir. Muhlasin, M.Si. Furnace is a device for heating materials, oil, etc, which usually use gas, coal and oil as fuel. Temperature is the main parameter that needs to be controlled so that it remains stable, precise, and of course increases fuel efficiency. As technology develops, there are several methods that can be used to control temperature that are more reliable than conventional controls. The technology is the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller. The PID controller has been proven and is widely used in industry, but to determine the gain of the PID value it is still not precise and has an effect on temperature stability and the response is still slow to reach the desired set point. Therefore, this paper is to simulate a better PID gain value using artificial intelligence-based methods. The artificial intelligence method is Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The PID controller in the PSO architecture is the best choice compared to PID systems without control, Standard PID, and PID auto tuning.
