Now the transition from district roads to national roads also affects the function if the road it self. Previously, Mastrip Road in Jombang Regency was only applied to light vehicles, such as for example vehicles with the classification of groups 1, 2, 3, 4, to 5A, wich means that only motorbikes, private cars, public transportation, pick up and small buses are allowed to cross the road. The purpose of planning flexible pavement overlays is to find out the thickness of the overlay on Mastrip Road Jombang Regency after the new regulation where heavy vehicles are allowed to pass through the road and find out the total budget needed for road planning. Planning is carried out using the 2017 Road Pavement Design Manual method and the traffic survey data is needed which is carried out directly for 3 x 24 hours. After that, it it continued with the calculation of the additional layer thickness needed for the overlay work. The results of the planning for the thickness of the additional layer of flexible pavement for Mastrip Road, Jombang Regency, obtained the thickness of each layer of 10 cm and 14 cm, so that the thickness of the overlay used was the calculation with the largest result, which was 14 cm. The largest added thickness value was taken to prevent fatigue cracking.
