		abstract={Challenges and problems of life always arise naturally along with the passage of time and the development of the times. Various problems arise from various angles of life, one of the big problems that occur in life in this world, in this life humans are required to apply Islamic law that has been taught by the Prophet Muhammad by studying fiqh, which concerns the issue of caring for the environment. From this phenomenon, the authors are interested in examining 3 focus problems, namely: How is the condition of the character of students at MTs Al-Hikam Jatirejo Diwek Jombang related to environmental care? How is the implementation of fiqh learning in shaping the character of students who care about the environment at MTs Al-Hikam Jatirejo Jombang? What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping the character of students who care about the environment at MTs Al-Hikam Jatirejo?
This research includes qualitative (field) research, namely research that produces descriptive data in the form of spoken or written words in which humans are the main source and makes MTs Al-Hikam Jatirejo as an object. Data mining techniques use interviews, observation and reinforced by documentation.
The results of the field research show that the condition of the characters related to caring for the environment, the students at MTs Al-Hikam Jatirejo already have good environmental care character values, by being children who are trained and accustomed to caring for the madrasa environment, in implementing fiqh learning in the formation of environmental care characters. Teachers play an important role in teaching and educating students by deepening the material and also practicing, giving examples to all students. And the supporting factor is the existence of the Adiwiyata program and the obstacle is the lack of awareness of students regarding environmental care issues.
This study concludes that the students of MTs Al-Hikam Jatirejo already have the character of caring for the environment by implementing fiqh lessons by means of practice and habituation which are supported by the Adiwiyata program while the lack of awareness about love for the environment, different backgrounds of students is an inhibiting factor.}
