Abstract

In the era of globalization, the spread of culture has become a phenomenon that influences various aspects of social and political life in many countries. One of the results of this development is the emergence of public diplomacy, which changes the traditional diplomatic paradigm to be more open and involves various actors and new communication methods. South Korea is one of the countries that is taking serious steps in implementing public diplomacy, especially through the Korean wave or Hallyu. This phenomenon has formed a positive image of South Korea in the eyes of the world and has become an important instrument in achieving the country's interests. At the local level, Jombang district in Indonesia is also experiencing significant influence from Hallyu, especially among young people, reflecting how Korean culture has become integrated into people's daily lives. Through this study, we will explore the impact and further implications of the Hallyu phenomenon in Jombang Regency, focusing on young people as the main target group.}
