Permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penggunaan media visual dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi di kelas V SDN 106 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media visual dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi pada siswa kelas V SDN 106 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan tehnik pengumpulam data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. 
Hasil penelitian tentang penggunaan media visual dalam pembelajaran puisi pada siswa kelas V SDN 106 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo, bahwa pada pembelajaran puisi media yang digunakan dalam hal ini media visual memiliki berbagai jenis. Jenis media visual yang sering digunakan yaitu gambar. Penggunaan media gambar memperhatikan isi konten dari gambar yang diajarkan pada pembelajaran puisi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran puisi di kelas V menggunakan jenis media visual yakni gambar.

The problem of this research is the use of visual media in learning to write poetry in class V SDN 106 Kota Utara of Gorontalo City. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of visual media in learning to write poetry on the students of grade V SDN 106 Kota Utara in City Gorontalo. In this study, the researcher used descriptive qualitative research type with data collection techniques in the form of observation interview, and documentation. 

The results of research reveal that there are various types of learning media poetry used in visual media. The type of visual media that is often used is picture. The use of picture media takes into account the content of the images taught in poetry learning. It can be concluded that the visual media type through the picture is used in learning poetry in grade V at SDN 106 Kota Utara in Gorontalo City.
