Pada Mencit Putih Jantan (Mus Musculus) Yang Diinduksi Aloksan}, year={2021}, url={http://repository.unik-kediri.ac.id/126/}, abstract={Bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum) is a plant that is widely used as a spice for cooking and is traditionally used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. This study aims to determine whether the ethanolic extract of bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum) has effectiveness as an antidiabetic against mice (Mus musculus) and to determine which dose of treatment is the most effective in giving anantidiabetic effect to mice (Mus musculus). This studied used the alloxan induction method in mice. This study used 25 male white mice with a body weight of 20-30 grams and mice 2-3 months old. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) mice where divided into 5 groups, namely group I as a negative control given CMC-Na, group II as a positive control given Glibenclamide, group III was a treatment group given ethanol extract of bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) with a dose of 500 mg/Kg BW, group IV was given ethyl acetate fraction at a dose of 95 mg/Kg BW and group V was given a dose of 107.5 mg/Kg BW The results of the data analysis test using SPSS with the One-Way Anova test with a sig value of 0.012 which was stated to be significantly different. Based on the results of the study showed that the ethyl acetate fraction of the ethanolic extract of bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) had antidiabetic activity at a dose of 95 mg which was the most effective dose in providing antidiabetic effects on mice (Mus musculus).
