This could be due to a lack of access to reading. Low literacy results in a lack of public interest in reading and can result in the spread of hoaxes or untrue news to the wider community. One way to increase reading interest is to present interesting readings, one of which is the LINE Webtoon digital comic. The purpose of this study was to determine the digital literacy carried out by the author on webtoon comics using descriptive qualitative methods and data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The theory used refers to nine important elements in digital literacy according to Steve Wheeler, namely Social Networking, Transliteracy, Maintaining Privacy, Managing Digital Identity, Creating Content, Organizing And Sharing Content, Reusing/Repurposing Content, Filtering And Selecting Content, and Self Broadcasting. The results of the study indicate that digital literacy by webtoon comic writers is able to provide knowledge about interesting and easily accessible reading in order to help people to continue reading.
