This study aims to determine the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The research method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by identifying, assessing, and interpreting all findings in a study to answer research questions that were applied previously. In this study, 10 articles were reviewed based on the inclusion criteria, there were 4 journals using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, then 4 journals using the quasi-experimental method, then 2 journals using the meta-analysis method. Based on the analysis of 10 study materials, the results in class V learning are stated to be higher than those in class IV. This can be proven by the average posttest score achieved by class IV is 79.28%. While in class V the average value is up to 89.90%. Based on these results, it can be said that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the ability to think critically in science in high grade elementary schools, because high grade critical thinking can follow the steps or stages of Problem Based Learning well.} }
