Companies must be able to implement good business strategies to be able to compete and still have market share. One of the business strategies that can be applied is that companies need to provide various types of products to meet customer demands. In these various types of products, of course, there are products that are most in demand and less attractive to customers. Therefore, companies need to know what products are the most desirable and less desirable in order to manage product stock inventories so that there is no accumulation of stock on products that are less desirable and also so that there is no stock vacancy for products that are most in demand by customers. For this problem, the authors build an application with one of the techniques of data mining, namely the association technique or association rule which is useful for finding patterns of product purchases using an a priori algorithm starting from data collection which is sales transaction data of PT. HERON in 2019. Then the author implemented the a priori algorithm in the application that was built. This study aims to find association rules on transaction data based on consumer purchasing patterns at PT. HERON to make it easier to determine product stock inventory. And the output generated from the application that is built is information in the form of a rule. From the results of calculations and testing of data mining using the a priori algorithm with a minimum support limit of 35% and a minimum confidence of 65% can form 7 rules on sales transaction data in 2019. One of the rules formed is that if consumers buy tissues and diapers, they will buy milk with a value support 36.66% and a confidence value of 96.15% with a lift ratio of 1.09 which means it has a strong relationship between the items or is said to be positively correlated, so that later this information can provide recommendations to the purchasing admin to determine product stock inventories based on patterns consumer purchases.} }
