		abstract={This study aims to examine English reading habits of students at second grade multimedia class in SMKN 2 kota Jambi. The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. The questionnaires were distributed to 40 students at second grade multimedia class in SMKN 2 kota Jambi. The questionnaire related about reading habits such as the amount of reading practice, the length of time having reading habit, the types reading text, the number of books to be read, the purpose of reading English text, motivation to read English. The analysis of the data was based on the students?answer in certain items divided by the total number of sample. The findings show that students at second grade multimedia class in SMKN 2 kota Jambi do not indicate to have good English reading habits.The data show (26%) that students read less than one hour everyday and their purpose to read English is only for doing assignment (40%) ,but the students have positive belief about English. The factors affect students not to have good English reading habits are the absence of parents involvements in the children reading and students feels that English is difficult .}
