		abstract={This study was conducted to investigate the effect of song to eleventh grade students? speaking skill at SMAN 7 Kediri. Song was proposed in teaching speaking because this method can eliminate the barrier of students? learning in the class such as difficulties in nervousness, fear of making mistakes, lack of self confidence and shyness. This research used pre-epxperimental quantitative with one-group pre-test. The subject of this research was 15 students of eleventh grade SMAN 7 Kediri. The data was cpllected by three steps; pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The result of this research showed that t-score : 11,454 is higher than t-table : 2,76 (5%). It means that there was significant effect of song in enhancing speaking skill. The indicators of speaking which increased were pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary especially grammar and content. Based on the result of the research, it suggested for the teacher to be more control the time to handle all the preparation in using song such as preparing the suitable song. It also suggested for the students that they should be more active to joining the learning process especially in speaking ability because it?s very important for english communication. The next suggestion is for the other researchers. They investigate the effect of song on other skill of english and other level proficiency.}
