The purpose of this study was to analyze shoreline changes using multitemporal Landsat 8 imagery in the coastal area of the Banyuasin River Estuary in 2013 - 2018, analyzing the rate of sediment deposition rate in the coastal area of the Banyuasin River Estuary. This research was conducted in October 2018 to November 2018 in the Banyuasin River Estuary in South Sumatra. The method used in this study is the remote sensing method and field survey. The results of this study indicate that the greatest change in coastline experienced accretion is an area of 21405.83 m2 or 2.1 ha at station 1 in 2015-2018. The smallest accretion is 869.09 m2 or 0.08 ha, which is located at station 5 in 2013 - 2015. While the shoreline changes that experienced the greatest abrasion were 21767.36 m2 or 2.17 ha which were at station 4 in 2013 - 2015 and the smallest abrasion area of 883 m2 or 0.08 ha which is on station 3 in 2015 - 2018. The sediment deposition rate on average in the Banyuasin River Estuary ranges from 2,635 - 5,044 Kg / m2 / day. Sediment characteristics are dominated by muddy clay.} }
