In 2020, South Sumatra Province is one of 8 (eight) provinces in Indonesia that are classified as prone to drought. Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency is the area that experienced the worst fires in South Sumatra Province due to drought. The purpose of this research is to analyze, identify and develop drought risk map modeling and evaluate opportunities for community involvement in dealing with drought disasters. This study conducted a spatial analysis of drought risk hazard in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra in 2009, 2014 and 2019 with weighting, scoring and overlay methods on 5 drought parameters namely SPI rainfall drought index, land cover, river water sources, soil type and land surface temperature. After that, the prediction modeling of land cover parameters in 2024 was carried out using the Land Change Modeler (LCM) method in IDRISI SELVA 17 software. In this study, it was found that the worst drought risk occurred in Air Sugihan and Tulung Selapan Subdistricts in August 2019, September 2009, 2014 and 2019. Prediction of drought parameters on land cover in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in 2024 obtained land cover class "1" with a percentage of 13.15%, land cover class "2" is 14.18%, land cover class "3" is 65.19% and land cover class "4" is 7.48%. Monitoring peatlands with wetting can be done to improve the readiness of communities in Ogan Komering Ilir District in facing drought disasters.} }
