BERAU COAL}, year={2023}, url={http://repository.unsri.ac.id/103779/}, abstract={PT. Berau Coal is known as a mining company engaged in the coal industry. In coal production, it is necessary to dismantle overburden by drilling and blasting. The standard of blasting operation in Pit E Blok 7 Binungan Mine Operation 2 is fragmentation ?50 cm produced more than 60% and powder factor 0,21 kg/bcm. The drilling methods used are single rod and double rod. Based on field observation, the double rod method has powder factor value of 0,27 kg/bcm which did not in accordance as planned. This research aims to analyze powder factor as planned using double rod drilling method by the fragmentation standards set by the proposed blasting geometry. The average blasting geometry is burden 7,75 m, spacing 9 m, stemming 3,8 m, and depth 11,65 m. Distribution of fragmentation for material size ?50 cm by KUZ-RAM method in area 1 75,31%, area 2 71,59 %, area 3 77,05%, and area 4 70,69% also using wipfrag software in area 1 84,90%, area 2 80,56%, area 3 86,11%, and area 4 80,44%. Powder factor analysis was carried out based on the proposed geometry Theory by ICI-Explosive with the difference of two emulsion products, 0,7 gr/cc and 0,75 gr/cc. According to ICI-Explosive theory with emulsion density 0,7 gr/cc, the result of powder factor is 0,21 kg/cc with blasting geometry burden 8,0 meters, spacing 10,4 meters, stemming 4,0 meters, hole depth 12,0 meters, and sub drilling 0 meters.} }
