TERHADAP TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR YANG DIINDUKSI CCl4}, year={2023}, url={http://repository.unsri.ac.id/104430/}, abstract={Melinjo leaves (Gnetum gnemon L.) have been widely researched in their use as an efficacious medicinal plant. Flavonoid as secondary metabolite compounds contained in melinjo leaves have the potential to be antioxidants. Antioxidant activity test on the ethanol fraction of melinjo leaves was tested with in vivo method with the aim of determining its effect on malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, catalase enzyme activity, macroscopic and histopathology feature of CCl4-induced rat liver. The treatment group in this study was divided into 7 groups, including the normal control group (Na-CMC 1%), negative, positive (vitamin C 10 mg/kgBW), dose 60 mg/kgBW, dose 90 mg/kgBW, dose 120 mg/kgBW, and dose 150 mg/kgBW. The results showed that the average MDA levels of the dose group of 60, 90, 120, and 150 mg/kgBW decreased compared to the negative control group. The average activity value of the enzyme catalase in the dose group of 60, 90, 120, and 150 mg/kgBW increased compared to the negative control group. Statistical analysis (Duncan) of MDA levels and catalase enzyme activity showed the dose group of 150 mg/kgBW did not significantly different from the positive control group (p > 0,05). This variation of dose has good antioxidant activity as seen from the parameters of testing antioxidant activity on decreasing MDA levels as well as increasing the activity of the enzyme catalase where the increase in dose gets better antioxidant activity. The histopathological picture of rat liver showed no necrosis and steatosis in the dose group of 150 mg/kgBW. This shows that the dose 150 mg/kgBW of ethanol fraction of melinjo leaves is more effective as an antioxidant not only based on the parameters of antioxidant activity but also up to the histopathological picture of rat liver.} }
