Secondary education is the level of student education before pursuing higher education. This study aims to prove the effect of high school educational background on the learning outcomes of students of Economics Education, FKIP, Sriwijaya University, class of 2021. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational type of research. The population in this study, namely students of Economics Education at Sriwijaya University class of 2021, totaled 77 people. Sampling used saturated sampling technique, namely using the entire population of 77 students as a sample. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the instrument using the Alpha Cornbach formula. The results of the study showed that the secondary school education background data obtained were categorized as good with an average percentage of 76% and learning outcomes showed an average value of 3.84 which was categorized as Very Good. Data analysis using the t-test shows that tcount=1.75 while ttable=1.66 means 1.75 ? 1.66 then Ho is rejected Ha is accepted it can be concluded that there is an influence of high school educational background on the learning outcomes of students of Economics Education FKIP Sriwijaya University Class of 2021. The effect of high school educational background on learning outcomes is the low correlation level with a percentage of 4%. It is suggested for future researchers to use other variables to study other than high school educational background which can affect student learning outcomes.} }
