Seaweed has thallus to replace the function of leaf, trunk and root. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of seaweed growth rate from it’s thallus and the weight different. This research was conducted on 31 August to 5 October 2017 at the Lampung Bay, Lampung Province. Observations growth of seaweed conducted for 42 days. The Surrounding parameters measured include temperature, salinity, current velocity, pH, DO, brightness, nitrate and phosphate. Analysis of data using RAL plan designs (completely randomized design) were then analyzed using One way ANOVA using SPSS 16.0. The results showed that thallus tip E.spinosum treatment with a combination of weight of 150 g resulted in better growth compared to other treatments. Environmental factors such as the weak movement of water and the occurrence of ice-ice disease thought to affect the growth of E.spinosum at the cultivation site.} }
