		abstract={The study aims to determine the role of openess to experience with sensation seeking in mountain climber. The hypothesis in this study that there is a role for openess to experience with sensation seeking.This research was conducted using a quantitative method with the number of respondents in this study as many as 153 mountain climbers aged 18-29 years and at least had climbed at least 3 times. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the openness to experience scale which refers to the dimensions of McCrae and Costa (2006), the sensation seeking scale to the dimensions of Zuckerman (1994). Data analysis in this study was carried out using simple regression analysis techniques.The results of the analysis show that the R square value between openness to experience and sensation seeking is 0.057, the F value is 9.185 and a significance value is 0.003 (p <0.05). This shows that openness to experience has a significant role in sensation seeking, thus the hypothesis put forward in this study can be accepted.}
