The availability of forage, both in quantity and quality, is still low, which is a problem in Indonesia, resulting in low livestock productivity, especially ruminants. One solution to overcome this problem is to use marginal or less productive lands by planting grass that is easy to cultivate and develop. One of them is king grass or commonly called King grass. This study aims to determine the effect of giving Bioboost on the growth of king grass on marginal land. This research was conducted from September to November 2022 in the village of Kota Daro II, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This research was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions, namely: Administration of bioboost at a dose of 0 ml/liter of water (P0), bioboost at a dose of 40 ml/liter of water (P1), bioboost at a dose of 60 ml/liter of water ( P2), bioboost dose of 80 ml/liter of water (P3). The result of this study are that giving bioboost at a predetermined dose is not effective in increasing nutrients in the soil and meeting the nutritional need of king grass. From the results of this study it can be concluded that provision of bioboost fertilizer with the highest dose of 80 ml/liter of water is not enough to meet nutritional needs and increase on the growth of plant height, number of tillers, and number of leaves in king grass plants.
