The Banyuasin River estuary is tidal land so it must be managed properly. The purpose of this study were to analyze the significant wave height, analyze the results of surface wave models, to know the wave energy that can be produced in the Transition Season II at the Banyuasin River Estuary. This research was conducted on 8 – 14th October 2018 in the waters of the Banyuasin River Estuary, the running model using GFS 0,50 wind and bathymetry of the Indonesian Coast Environment Map as an input model, RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) was used to measure the accuracy level of model forecast with field observation result and significant wave height used to determine the amount of energy and power produced. The results showed the highest significant wave height occurred on 9 October 2018 at 7:00 a.m. with a value of 0,563 meters and the lowest significant wave occurred on 9 October 2018 at 12:00 wib with a height of 0,303 meters. The higher the wind speed there is, the higher the waves will be produced, and the wind direction that blows is directly proportional to the direction of the wave generated, and the results of the dominant wave direction model from North and Northeast. The resulting wave energy ranges from 882.0381 Joule - 223,868.54 joules and the resulting wave power ranges from 309,6177 Watts - 86,441.74 Watts. The RMSE value of Mike 21 and field data is 0.3 and belongs to the moderate error level.} }
