		abstract={The research is an entitle “The Role of The Leader in Increasing Productivity (Study on Metro TV Biro Palembang in 2017)”. The research aims to find out how the role of the Leader in increasing productivity at Metro TV Biro Palembang 2017. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method with descriptive research types. Primary data were carried out in-depth interviews and observations. Secondary data conducted by documentation studies. The focus of this research consists of instruction, consultation, participation, and delegation that refers to the Situasional Leadership theory according to Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard. Based on the analysis and research in the field it can be concluded that The Role of The Leader in Increasing Productivity (Study on Metro TV Biro Palembang in 2017) has gone well. This showed that thehead of the bureau plays a role in increasing the productivity of the Metro TV Biro Palembang in 2017 in indicators of monitoring work, motivating subordinates, advising subordinates, and responsibilities that have proceeded according to Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard. But in indicators of task identification, contributing, empowering subordinates, and authority, the head of the bureau has played a pretty good role.}
