		abstract={The objective of this research was to measure, verify and prove empicall the influence of the implementation of performance based budgeting on the local government apparatus ' performance at the South Sumatera Development Planning Agency on sub-national level. The sample was 41 government apparatuses at the South Sumatera Development Planning Agency on subnational level. The data were gathered by conducting at survey and using questionnaires which were distributed to the respondents and analyzed by using regression analysis. The result of this research showed that the implementation of performance based budgeting simutanneously and partially influenced the local government apparatus ' performance at the South Sumatera Development Planning Agency on sub-national level. The implementation of performance based budgeting could explain the local government apparatus ' performance at the south sumatera development planning agency on sub-national level for 33%, and the balance of 67% is explained by other variables which did not included in this research.}
