This study analyzed the effect of variation in milling machining parameters using coconut oil cutting liquid with 1% mixture of MoS2 nanoparticles with Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) technique. The output parameter is the roughness of the machining surface of AISI 1045 steel. The milling machining parameters that are varied are cutting speed, feeding motion, and axial feeding depth. The L9(33) orthogonal matrix of Taguchi's experimental design, signal-to-noise ratio, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to analyze the impact of these machining parameters. The analysis performed shows the optimal combination of machining parameters to produce the best surface roughness is high cutting speed, low feeding motion, and low feeding depth. The comparison of cutting fluid to surface roughness shows that coconut oil with a mixture of nanoparticles is able to produce good surface roughness.} }
