		abstract={Preference Test of Carpophilus dimidiatus F. (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae) to Several Species of Bean(Supevised by EFFENDY, TA) Carpophilusdimidiatus (Coleoptera:Nitidulidae), is a pest insect attackingg several species of fruit and grains all ever the world, before and after harvest. In Indonesia, C. dimidiatus has been known as as a pest of forest products and pineapple. In some research, the insect has also been reported to attack beans. This research was aimed at knowing the preference of C.dimidiatus to four bean species. The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Biological Control, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya Universityfrom 17 January to 14 February 2019. The research was arranged in a Completely Randomized Deign (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The results showed that peanut was the most preferred bean by C. dimidiatuswith average infestation of 5.20, while other bean species}
