		abstract={This   study   aims   to   describe   studentsmistakes   in   solving   story problems on the subject of two-variabel linear equation system. This research in included in the type of qualitative descriptive research which took place in May  2019  in  Kupang,St.  Theresia  SMPK.the  subjek  were  taken  from  class VIII  B.  The  methods  in  this  study  werw  tests  and  interviews.  Tests  were given  to  25  students  and  3  subjects  were  chosen  who  head  more  errors  and were  then  interviewed.  The  result  of  the  study  show  that  from  the  three subjects namely S1, S2 and S3 there wereerrors in solving the story problems on  the  subject  of  two-variabel  linear  equation  system.  These  errors  were found  when  the  subjects  were  unable  to  solve  the  story  question  on  the subject of two-variabel linear equation system based on the steps or the right method.  Mistakes  made  by  students  are  conceptual  errors,  errors  in  using data, defeat of imterpretations, technical errors and conclusions.}
