		abstract={This study aims to describe how students learn English motivation during the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The subjects in this study were English students in the second semester of the English study program at Pasir Pengaraian University with a sample of 25 students. This instrument uses Google Form questionnaire data which is distributed online via the WhatsApp application.  The results of this study indicate that the factors that cause low motivation to learn online are external motivational factors. External factors are factors that are mostly caused by environmental conditions. this greatly affects student motivation in carrying out online learning.}
