This research investigates the negativity of strong uphold to individual, universal, and modernity values based on Said. It also highlights the types of human rights violations represented in the novel. In analyzing the work, the writer applies post-colonial literary criticism proposed by some theorists but focuses on Edward Said?s Orientalism, focusing on individual, universal, and modernity values on White supremacy. The writer uses the library research method in collecting the data. Moreover, the writer uses thematic analysis, which emphasizes identifying, analyzing, and interpreting patterns of meaning or ?themes? within qualitative data as the method of the study. This research reveals that strongly upholding individual, universal, and modernity values could violate human rights based on Universal Declaration of Human Rights. There are right to life, right to be heard, right to prevent their culture.} }
