Abstract :
In the last decade, the world of aviation has undergone rapid
development with the presence of unmanned air vehicles or the so-called Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). One of the most widely studied UAV types is the quadcopter, the UAV type of helicopter that uses four motors to propel the propeller / propeller. The use of this UAV can be categorized broadly, especially for military purposes, forest monitoring, border monitoring and more. In this study, a quadcopter will be designed for monitoring system with remote control
(RC). This quadcopter uses Ardupilot Mega 2.5 as its flight control base (flight controller). The sensor used is a gyro sensor to measure the x, y, z and accelerometer sensor rates to measure the acceleration. The quadcopter system is surrounded by Gopro Hero 3 cameras to monitor the condition of the landscape. From the test results that the quadcopter has a maximum load of 4 kg and the range of RC range is 100 meters without barrier and 50 with barrier. In robot testing it can fly with a height of 5 to 10 meters from the ground. The
quadcopter robot features a camera sensor, so it can be used to monitor hardto- reach places.
