Abstract :
To supply electric power to high load situations, it is necessary to supply a good electrical power system to stay within reasonable limits while maintaining quality. In this thesis will be discussed about burst loads to reduce the voltage drop on 20 kV system. With the bursting load is expected to improve the quality of the medium voltage network system in PT PLN (Persero) Area Cengkareng, where the voltage drop before burst load of 4.7%. Here is done comparison of burst load on the network from PT PLN (Persero) Area Cengkareng Simulation 1) by breaking the network load at the midpoint of the total load (simulation 2). Obtained value of voltage drop in case 1 of 1.98% and 1.97% in new feeder. In the case of 2 values the voltage drops to 1.86% and 1.84% in the new buffer. After bursting this load can reduce the value of voltage drop to improve the quality at PT PLN (Persero) Area Cengkareng and still in accordance with SPLN no 72 year 1987 about "The amount of voltage drop in medium voltage network (JTM) allowed 2% for SKTM network system and 5% for SUTM network system ".
