Abstract :
At 150 kV high-voltage transmission line, most failures (+/-90%) are temporary. The presence of a failure cause triping of the Circuit Breaker (CB), but after approximately 30 seconds the CB will be put back. To protect the transmission line and reduce interruptions caused by the temporary distance relay and auto recloser are being used. The auto recloser is programmed by tunning the auto reclose relay and can be programmed to reclose back two or three times.
