Abstract :
The power transformer to power supply subsystem is an important things for power supply, so it must be protected from some interferences that may cause the reliability of the transformer to decrease. The interbus transformer is one of high voltage substation?s important device that should be pretected from disturbance that often happened. To knowing the installed protecton relay?s setting, then it needs to do calculating with short circuit dirturbance?s simulation. In this study, taking GITET Cawang Baru as the research location and the IBT 2 500/150 kV 500 MVA as the research subject. From calculating, obtained the amount of short circuit line to netral current of 6.374,41 A at 150 kV side and 16.836,17 A at 500 kV side. For line to line short circuit current of 7.049,82 A at 150 kV side and 24.056,25 A at 500 kV side. Based on that data, needed to be done the ideal setting that can protected the transformer from the disturbance. Relays?s coordination when the disturbance occurs, either needed the ideal setting, also need the precision time setting so that the installed relays can protecting wherever the disturbance occurs.
