Abstract :
The distribution system is part of a power system that is connected directly with consumers or customers. Distribution network is one of the electrical power system that can not avoid the interference, resulting in the
occurence of power outages resulting in decreased continuity of electric power distributed to costumers. This Undergraduated Thesis organized with the purpose of evaluating the reliability of the distribution system 20 kV PT. PLN (Persero) Area Merauke. As a case study that analyzed the reliability of the distribution network is the feeder Kompi2 in 2015 and 2016 in the area of Merauke. The method used in the analysis is a method of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) where this method will calculate Reliability Index SAIFI, SAIDI based failure rate and average repair as well as the number of consumers at every point of load (load point). Reliability index results compared well with the standard of PLN. Based on the analysis, the saifi value that is
produced by Kompi2 feeder on 2015 and 2016 in PT PLN (Persero) Area Merauke has been under value of reliability indeks maksimum SPLN 68-2: 1986 by 3.2 times/year. And for the saidi value of Kompi2 feeder is has been under
value of reliability indeks maksimum SPLN is below 21 hours / year.
