Abstract :
PLTGU is the center of power with the highest thermal efficiency (up to 50%). In the development of PLTGU operations in Indonesia are frequent changes in fuel consumption of fuel oil to fuel gas. This is caused because the development of provision of gas more than lagging development of fuel oil supply. PLTGU could have fuel oil or gas-burning fuel but need the setup control system and protection system that fits the fuel used. In this thesis are discussed measures and protection control system setup PLTGU when change over from fuel oil to fuel gas. This setup is concerned, among others, air fuel ratio, the combustion temperature and pressure while burning from protection system regarding the protection against overheating and vibration. Control and protection system PLTGU more in the dominance on the side of PLTG because PLTU just follow the exhaust gas of PLTG.
