Abstract :
Continuity of the distribution of electrical energy is a hope for all electric customers. With the better continuity of electricity distribution, the customer's comfort is enhanced and can improve the image for the company. However, in the process of distributing electric energy, the power loss factors are considered, one of the efforts to suppress the loss of power is by balancing the load on the distribution network. In general, the implementation of load balancing on the Distribution Network requires the blackout to the customer, because it causes a reduction in the continuity of the distribution of electrical energy and also affect the sale of Electrical Energy from the state electricity company. Therefore we need a way or method to provide solution where the implementation of load balancing without going through outage to the customer. This is done with the help of a tool called "Portable Change over switch (P-COS)". The working principle of this tool is to make the necessary switching process when transporting the phases of customers very quickly that is ± 15 milliseconds so that there is no outage to the customer burden that is being balanced. With the help of this tool is expected to cut the duration of blackouts and increase sales of electrical energy and increase the energy distribution of electrical energy. The result of load balancing using Portable Change over switch (P-COS). "PT PLN (Persero) Rayo Cilacap City can still sell 230.37 kWh during the load balancing.
