Abstract :
Currently, electricity is one very important requirement for human life. Electricity not only for lighting, but also to perform daily life activities related to social and economic activities of society. Not infrequently, the presence of the electrical grid in a region determine the progress and development of the region. Referring to the law number 30 of 2007 on energy, the development of electric energy conversion techniques using alternative energy sources be interesting to follow over the past few years, due to the recent energy crisis that hit Indonesia and even the world then of the various countries as if tying to build power plants with alternative energy. One of the alternative energy that can be used is water, used for Minihydro Power Plant (MHP). Water conditions can be used as a source of power (resources) is a power producer that has a flow capacity and a certain height of the installation. The greater capacity of the flow and height of the installation, the greater the energy that can be harnessed to generate electricity.
