Abstract :
Cooling Water System is a busbar used to deliver electrical power to the loads for auxiliary equipment located in the Pump House area of Fired Coal Power Plant (PLTU) Pelabuhan Ratu. Station Service Transformer (SST) is used to supply the common loads on Station Board A and Station Board B. Cooling Water System is supplied directly from 150 kV line through 6.3 kV Station Board which then supplies the equipment in PC A, PC B and also the loads in Comprehensive Water Pump House MCC. The voltage level that is being used in the system of Cooling Water busbar is 400 volt in which every load is equipped with protection system devices to localize the equipment in case of disruption such as overcurrent fault that is occurred whether in loads or the incoming busbar. It is important to maintain the reliability of the loads in 400 V Cooling Water System especially the protection system used. Therefore, the power system protection setting and relay coordination always need to be evaluated to maintain the operational continuity and improve the performance of the power plant unit.
