Abstract :
Indonesia has a lot of oil fields both on land and offshore. Oil field oil well in the form of wells widespread. An oil field can consist of 100 oil wells and an area of approximately 100 . To supply electric power in the oil field farther away from the system oil company PLN to build its own power station which is generally in the form of gas power plants (PLTG) or a power center with a gas engine. From the center of this electric power is distributed to the wells using a medium voltage network. Some wells grouped into one cluster and served with distribution transformers. Oil wells equipped with Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP), which pumps oil from a depth of 5 km to the soil surface. Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) driven by using induction motors are equipped with Variable Speed Drive (VSD) which is mounted on the switchboard on the surface of the well is the source of harmonics. In this paper will discuss the problems arising harmonics oil field as operator of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) with Variable Speed Drive (VSD).
