Abstract :
Generator is the main equipment to produce electricity. During the operation, there is a major problem of the power system itself, so therefore reducing realibility of resulting. To not to disrupt the performance of the system and causing damages to the equipment, then it require a high responsive, flexible, and reliable tool. A protection applied to overcome the short circuit current is over current relay (OCR). Relay worked by reading in to the form of a current input then compare it with value of the setting. On the setting, relay also applied time delay to coordinating other relay. A thesis titled ? Study Of Protection Of The Generator For Over Current At Hydro Electric Power Plants Saguling PT. Indonesia Power ? will be discussed further about the comparison of short circuit current calculation by giving a setting on G51 relay which has been attached.
