Abstract :
Currently the demand for power is increasing, considering Indonesia as an archipelagic country is not uncommon energy supply is uneven. Priority energy supply is only on the islands are densely populated, consequently islands like in the eastern part of Indonesia which is only slightly less than the population gets sufficient supply of electrical energy, so that PLN's role as an institution that handles energy proficiency level should be able to provide the electrical energy needs in the area. Hence the construction of the power plant as indispensable as the beginning of electrification in the region, but that such a plant can not be connected with a large grid, these plants can be referred to as an isolated plant. What is meant by the isolated electric power system is a power system that is relatively small consisting of not more than five units of power center mix such as Hydro, Thermal, and renewable energy with the amount of installed power capacity of not more than 100 MW. Similar systems are widely found in various parts of Indonesia, in this paper will discuss how to allocate resources for spinning reserve for isolated power systems.
