Abstract :
The inductive loads usage on industries causes the power factor (cos to decrease. Bad power factor consumes much more reactive power and increase the load current. As the power factor increase, so is the power that can be used from the source and vice versa. On industries, the usage of reactive power will get charge if the power factor below the standard from utility PT. PLN (Persero). PT Jawa Pos gets supplied from a utility transformer 20/0,4 kV 1600 kVA to supply electrical motor loads which is used in printing process. Before the capacitor bank installed on 400 V busbar cos . This minithesis contains the capacitor localization on 400 V load daily load fluctuation in 24 hours so the cos = 0,95
