Abstract :
A Power Substation surrounding needs a grounding system in order to protect humans. It is necessary to cover the ground surface with coral or crushed rock, so that the foot resistance will be bigger. If a phase to ground fault occurred at the power substation a fault current flows back to the power substation through the transformer. The power substation surrounding will cause a human foot resistance. To calculate a human foot resistance that exist, IEEE 80 ? 1986 and IEEE 80 ? 2000 will be used.
