Abstract :
KRL is an extension of the Light rail trains are a function of a mass transportation very much counted on by the people of Indonesia, besides the cheap price and latency are very fast and free of congestion, hence the need for a high level of reliability in maintaining smooth running of the train journey. Light rail is driven by electric traction, electric traction is divided into three kinds of electric traction of which is in the form of an electric traction drive diesel electric locomotives, electric traction drive in the form of electric locomotives, and electric traction drive in the form of a train - the trains or carriages - carriages are equipped with traction motors in English called the Electrical Multiple Unit, where the traction motor is supplied power from Electricity Network Flow Up, hence the need for continuous power supply, continuous power supply can be obtained by calculating the distance charging by feeding branch through trolley wire between each station , it is necessary to maintain the reliability of the train in order to avoid disruptions in the operation so that the public be safe and comfortable in using the mass transportation facility and the KAI also feel disadvantaged and would not lose money with minimal disturbance
