Abstract :
In power plant steam turbine, the exhaust gases heat which derived from a gas turbine is used in Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) for heating the water until it changes to steam. It used as a fluid for the steam turbine?s proccess. This research was on March 13th ? May 13th at UP Muara Karang ini operation of PLTGU Block 1 consist of 3 unit of PLTG and 3 unit PLTU with 508 MW capacity. They also have PLTGU Block 2 consist of 2 unit PLTG dan 3 unit PLTU with 740 MW capacity and PLTU unit 4 and 5 with 200 MW capacity which use Liquedfield Natural Gas (LNG) as fuel. It has changed to liquid to make distribution proccess to get supply from Nusantara Regas Company (NR) and Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) could be easier. This reseach has a goal to optimalizing PLTGU?s operation way to get operation cost more economic and to count optimal efficiency with LNG at PLTGU and PLTU UP Muara Karang. This result shows that the bogger power come up (load), then the heat energy needed per hour and all of fuel total cost also get bigger.
