Abstract :
Transformers isolation are a critical part of the power transformer, insulation deterioration or failure might cause failure operation or even transformer damage. One of the method to know the condition of the isolation is by testing the tangent delta. Tangent delta testing is a measurement that is very important to know the condition of the isolation in power transformers. This final task is aims to present an evaluation of the performance and condition of power transformer isolation after tangent delta testing. The result is expected to be a reference for subsequent research. The research was conducted at the four (4) samples of different power transformers. Tangent delta of each transformer is measured by giving inject voltage and frequency are relatively fixed and supported by software PowerDB Lite. PowerDB Lite will display the tangent delta, leakage current and power generated is dissipated. The collected data is analyzed and the results of calculation tangent delta. The result showed uniformity among the four power transformers that have been tested. From the results of the evaluation of this essay, it is recommended to use more varied sampling and follow the testing procedures that already exist.
