Abstract :
Gheothermal energy one plant that has an important role in the electricity system in Indonesia, so the reliability of the plant must always be maintained so long as the supply is not interrupted and the quality of the electrical energy generated good. There are three generating units at Kamojang geothermal power plants, but only units of two and three are in operation. To reduce the number of outages caused by interference protection system is needed. The generator protection system fitted some protection that is rele rele rele differential as a major, and overcurrent relay rele rele soil disturbance as a backup if the primary relay fails to work. Coordination between the OCR and GFR depends on the type of short circuit happens. In the three-phase short circuit and short circuit phases that works as a safety backup is rele OCR, whereas GFR was not working because of the disorder because the neutral wire is not energized interference. While in the short circuit of the phase-to-ground fault current which flows in the neutral wire so the relay GFR can detect any interference. In order to work in a more coordinated relay adjustment is required in the relay, by setting t = 1 second then obtained TMS OCR = 0,29 and TMS GFR = 0,69.
