Abstract :
This essay discusses about design an application of documentation system in PT. KOKOH SEMESTA, which focuses on the filing, tidying, maintenance, processing and distribution of documents and images and traceability on every project that has been done before. Digitizing Documentation system which is based the database is required in addition to saving the file storage space, because the only form of digital files but also can assist in the execution of projects that have a common form of work on the project which has been done before, so execution new project can be done more easily. The application is still being tested in Engineering Department . By using the RCA Method (Root Couse analiysis) To identify existing problems, which is described using the diagram ishikawa / fishbone. The diagram classifying problems that exist within the Engineeering Department into some kind of groups of workers / employees, tools, materials and methods. This method shows Cause - effect of each group of existing problems. And the method of solving the problem using the Zachman method describes the design stages with 5W + 1H (What, How, Where, Who, When and why). That Tools are used in designing these applications use application Dreamwaver the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. xxii With this application, all forms of document control activities undertaken will be easier in working primarily on archiving, tidying, maintenance, processing and distribution of documents and drawings in the company.
