Abstract :
Transmission system plays a very important role in the process of power distribution. Therefore the security on the transmisson line needs to received considerable attention in the plan. This makes the state electricity company constantly improve both service and reliability of electricity supply to consumers. Distance relay is used as a safety on a transmission line because of its ability to eliminate the disturbance quickly and tuning the relatively easy so that the distance relay only work for the disruption that occurred between the location of the relay and the predetermined range limit. Protection system has the function to keep the power system remains stable, by indentifying and separating the interference compromised system from other parts are still able to walk normally. With good protection, especially in distance relay, then the transmission will not be damaged and no equipment damage can spread to other devices because there is a transmission protection.
