Abstract :
In the High Voltage Transmission Line required earthing system with the purpose as a means to drain into the ground fault current, both under normal conditions and fault conditions, without exceeding the range of operation and the ability of the equipment to be able to ensure that people who are around are not grounded electrical installation experienced a dangerous electric shock. Earthing system is the easiest to use system earthing electrode rod. Earthing resistance value among others depends on the type of soil resistivity values. Values of the resistance earthing (grounding) are of two kinds, namely the frequency of 50 Hz grounding resistance and impulse grounding resistance. Impulse grounding resistance in addition depends on the soil resistivity, also depends on the shape of the wave impulse (curve). Impulse fault current can be a lightning impulse or impulse switching. Impulse impedance defined as the ratio of the peak value of the voltage and current grounding system which may be accepted when an electrical impulse. Impulse impedance of ground electrode defined as the ratio of the instantaneous values of the total ground voltage and of the current flowing from the electrode at the feeding point. In this paper studied the effect of lightning impulses on the electrode is installed parallel to the ground.
