Abstract :
Residual soil on the project renovation swimming stadium in gelora bung karno including brown clay has cohesion, friction angle is very small and high plasticity index. This condition makes the soil on unstable around the swimming stadium. Therefore, it is very important to do repairs of soil on the swimming stadium. The goal is residual soil on the project swimming stadium renovation in gelora bung karno reusable. Methods to improve the situation of soil used by way of chemical. This research uses lime and kaolin as a mixture, with a variation of lime 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15% and kaolin 10% by weight of soil sample with ripening 4 days, 7 days, and 14 days.. Of the various mixture of lime 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15% and kaolin 10% of the weight of soil samples, obtained optimum percentage value addition of limestone and kaolin are on the soil with a mixture 0f 9% lime and 10% kaolin with a long ripening 14 days. Where th soil with a mixture of 9% lime and 10% kaolin have specific gravity 1,9220, liquid limit 50,7290%, plastic limit 34,1463% Index Plasticity 16,5827%, shrinkage limit 20,4097 %, cohesion 1,1499 kg/cm2 and the value of the friction angle of 38039?36??. From this research, the use of limestone and kaolin as soil improvement material capable of improving residual soil condition at the project swimming stadium renovation in gelora bung karno.
